Starting in 1977 with a wheelchair, George Konstantinidis collected small quantities of scrap metal to supply the Greek metal industry. The work was carried out by hand and with minimal equipment. This effort resulted in the creation of our company, METECO.
Today, METECO SA is one of the most important recycling hubs in Greece, handling 50,000+ tons of metals annually. The company is certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 for Quality, Environment, Health and Safety systems. Finally, it is a member of the Bureau of International Recycling based in Brussels.
In the coming years, true to the values of its founder, METECO will continue to contribute to sustainable development. At the same time, we will continue to invest in environmental technologies and provide know-how to our suppliers and customers.
