As part of the expansion of financial aid measures to address the economic impacts of the pandemic, the payment of traffic fees for 2021 will be extended.
The electronic ” deposit ” of vehicle license plates will be done with a few clicks on your computer, laptop or smartphone.
The taxpayer will declare his address details (street, number, city) as well as the location of the vehicle, while he will keep both the vehicle’s registration certificate and the license plates at home.
Once the owner has declared the vehicle immobilised , he is prohibited from moving it, and otherwise will be required to pay a fine of 10,000 euros.
In case of a repeat offense, the fine is tripled , while the driver’s license will be revoked for three years. Also, a vehicle that is found parked in a different location than the one declared in the electronic immobilisation will be considered to have been released.
